Staff Sergeant Duncan Dixon

S/Sgt. Dixon has 29 years of Service with the RCMP.  S/Sgt. Dixon was born in Halifax , Nova Scotia and lived in Nova Scotia , Ontario and finally Alberta in both Edmonton and Calgary prior to joining the Force. S/Sgt. Dixon received a degree in History from the University of Calgary prior to joining the Force . S/Sgt. Dixon joined the Force in January of 1992 and was posted first to French Language training and then to Depot for training. S/Sgt. Dixon was posted to the lower mainland of British Columbia and served at both Vancouver and White Rock. In 1998 S/Sgt. Dixon was posted to the Town of Nakusp in the Kootenays for three years. In 2001 S/Sgt. Dixon was transferred to Kelowna City Detachment serving for roughly one year. S/Sgt. Dixon was then was posted to be the Detachment Commander at Gabriola Island Detachment. In 2003 S/Sgt. Dixon was moved again to take command of Dease Lake / Telegraph Creek Detachment. In 2005 S/Sgt. Dixon moved back to Kelowna and worked in Kelowna City as a senior patrol NCO and finally as a Watch Commander. In May of 2008 S/Sgt. Dixon took over as the Non Commissioned Officer in charge of the West Kelowna Municipal / Kelowna Rural Detachment and held that position until April of 2016. From 2016 to 2018 S/Sgt. Dixon was an Advisory NCO at Southeast District Headquarters looking after the Southeast District north region Detachments. In September 2018, S/Sgt. Dixon returned to take over as the Non Commissioned Officer in Charge of the West Kelowna Municipal / Kelowna Rural Detachment where he now serves. S/Sgt. Dixon is a proud West Kelowna Resident with a very understanding wife as well as two great kids of whom he is very proud.

Roy Morgan

Roy, our Crime Prevention Coordinator, is an ex British policer officer of 17 years’ experience of Law Enforcement and Crime Investigations.

During his service in England, he worked in Drugs, Serious Crime and finally in Community Policing and Crime Prevention.

He came and settled in West Kelowna, in the Central Okanagan in 2010 with his wife Susan and his two young boys, George and Frank.

He started work in the North Okanagan, July 2010 for the City of Vernon North Okanagan RCMP Community Policing unit as a Crime Prevention/Community Safety Coordinator covering the Regional District of North Okanagan RCMP areas

On the 2nd August 2016 he started work as our RCMP Coordinator working for the Regional District of Central Okanagan responsible for Peachland, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Electoral Areas West/East and the Westbank First Nations.
